University of Bath student Panuga Riou reached the quarter-finals of the women’s singles competition at the World University Badminton Championships in Korea. University of Bath staff and alumni joined friends and family in celebrating the life of Ivor Powell MBE at  a tribute event  at the Sports Training Village this afternoon (Tuesday). Ivor, whose illustrious footballing career saw him play for Wales, Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool and Aston Villa, passed away at the age of 96 after a short illness on 5 November. Maslen takes Team Bath’s tally to ten senior international judo medals this year

Natasha Maslen, a 19 year-old Sports Performance student, won bronze at the European Cup last weekend in Malaga, Spain, to take Team Bath’s tally of senior international medals to ten this year.
