Gold, silver and bronze for Bath athletes at European Under-23 Championships

University of Bath based Jack Green, Danny Talbot and Lawrence Clarke all picked up medals this weekend at the European Athletics Under-23 Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Each of them performed strongly on the track to bring home medals in their events. Jack Green, coached by UK Athletics National Events Coach for Hurdles Malcolm Arnold, won gold in the 400m hurdles with a time of 49.13 defeating Great Britain team-mate Nathan Woodward by 0.15 seconds....

Britain's Nick Woodbridge won the bronze medal at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final in London today (Saturday). Team Bath swimmer Liz Johnson wins gold at 2011 International Paralympic Committee European Championships

Team Bath swimmer Liz Johnson struck gold at the International Paralympic Committee European Championships in Germany today (Monday). Johnson won the SB6 100m breaststroke title at the championships in Berlin, the same discipine in which she took gold at the Beijing 2008 Paralymic Games. Johnson, who is coached by Mark Skimming at the University of Bath, won in a time of 1:38.89 – just over a second clear of British team-mate Charlotte Henshaw.
