University of Bath Swimming Club swimmer Liz Johnson has had her place on the British team to compete at the London 2012 Paralympic Games confirmed. Liz, who struck gold at Beijing in 2008, was initially named on a list of 26 British swimmers whose participation at the Games was subject to confirmation by the International Paralympic Committee of the number of swimming slots available. Team Bath’s young netballers ended their 2012 Fiat Netball Superleague campaign in fourth place. The team went down 62-38 to Surrey Storm in Saturday’s Superleague Showdown semi-final in Dagenham to set-up a third/fourth place play-off against Hertfordshire Mavericks on Sunday. Badminton player Alex Huttunen has been named 2012 University of Bath Sports Personality of the Year Award at a ceremony at Bath’s Assembly Rooms.
