Thornley rows to gold at Under-23 World Champs

University of Bath-based rower Victoria Thornley is celebrating gold at the Under-23 World Rowing Championships. Four Bath-based beach volleyball players made their debut appearances at the World Championships in Stavanger, Norway. Team Bath judo player Darrren Harris struck bronze at the visually impaired European Championships in Hungary. Harris, who represented Great Britain at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, beat Ilkin Alishov of Azerbaijan in the bronze medal contest at the championships in Debrecen.
