Student swimmers selected in British squad for 2017 World University Games

University of Bath students Anna Hopkin and Jay Lelliott have been named in a 16-strong British swimming squad for the 2017 World University Games in Chinese Taipei. University of Bath-based wheelchair fencers Piers Gilliver and Dimitri Coutya continued their excellent form as they won seven titles between them at the 2017 British Disabled Fencing Association National Championships. Team Bath MCTA Tennis enjoyed one of its most successful weeks ever on the professional tour as Anna Smith won a title in Germany and Marcus Daniell reached the final in France. Bath student Joe Choong, an MJ Church ambassador, will make his World Cup return at this week’s event in Drzonkow, Poland, his first World Cup appearance since finishing 4th in Rome at the beginning of April 2016.
