Four Bath athletes are Beijing bound after World Championships call

Four University of Bath-based athletes have been named in the Great Britain squad for next month’s IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China. European 400m hurdles champion Eilidh Child, coached by Malcolm Arnold at the Sports Training Village, will compete at a fourth successive World Championships – she finished fifth at the 2013 event in Moscow. Kirsten McAslan anchored Great Britain’s 4x400m relay team to gold during a good weekend for University of Bath-based athletes at the European U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. University of Bath students are preparing for a busy Bank Holiday Weekend of sport at the BUCS Outdoor Athletics Championships and BUCS Rowing Regatta.
