
Katy Williams – Physiotherapist

Primary Responsibilities: Katy is part of an inter-disciplinary team for on-site National Governing Bodies (NGBs), TASS [Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme], Elite Sports Training Camps and Team Bath’s Performance Sport Programmes. Katy is also the lead Physiotherapist for the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) – International High-Performance Centre. Katy is a Higher Education Associate Fellow and lectures, examines and coordinates clinical placements on the MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Bath. She has recently become a Professional Development Advisor.
Previous experience: Katy was the Lead Physiotherapist for Team Bath’s BUCS Super Rugby High Performance Programme from 2010-17, which runs in partnership with Bath Rugby. Katy is published author and presenter of research on the upper limb (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Katy-Williams) and is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Katy is a Consultant Physiotherapist for the English Institute of Sport, England Athletics, England Rugby and the LTA. She is currently acting as the Lead HQ Physiotherapist at the National Exhibition Centre for Team Wales, at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She is a mentor, assessor and member of the Education Committee for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine, having been accredited gold level and membership of the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy.
