University of Bath student Alex Humfrey signs for Bath Rugby Academy
University of Bath student Alex Humfrey has signed for the Senior Academy of Aviva Premiership club Bath Rugby.
Humfrey, a back row or second row, has played for the University’s 1st XV for the past two seasons.
He has also represented Wales Students and Wales Sevens, as well as Neath RFC in the Welsh Premiership.
Aaron James, the University’s Head of Rugby, said: “Alex signing for Bath Rugby is fantastic and well deserved.
“It reflects his performance and commitment on and off the field for the University of Bath and with Bath Rugby’s A-League squad during the last two seasons.
“It’s also great to see the University of Bath and Bath Rugby continue their strong links.”
Humfrey has been named in the Bath Rugby United team to face London Irish A on Monday.
