Students to gain more international rugby education as England Women U20s face Canada

17 August 2016

University of Bath students Sydney Gregson and Lottie Holland will gain more international rugby experience this week as they represent England Women U20 in a three-game series against Canada.

Gregson – a Trendell Sports Scholar and Ambassador for Team Bath’s partners, MJ Church – and Holland met their 24 fellow squad members last weekend for a two-week training camp at Nottingham Trent College.

As part of that, they will take on Canada’s age-group team on Thursday 18, Monday 22 and Friday 26 August, all matches kicking-off at 5.30pm.

Gregson and Holland, supported by the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), both have five England U20 caps and represented Great Britain in the FISU World University Rugby Sevens Championships last month.

They are also supported by the Team Bath Dual Career Programme, designed to help student-athletes achieve their full academic and sporting potential.

Applications for the 2016-17 programme are now open. Click here for more information.
