Sevens star Chantelle Miell back on England duty as Rugby Europe Grand Prix series begins

13 June 2017

University of Bath student Chantelle Miell has once again been selected in the England Women Rugby Sevens squad for the first leg of the Rugby Europe Women’s Grand Prix Series.

The Malemort Sevens, taking place in France on June 17-18, and the second leg in Kazan, Russia, on July 8-9 provide England with their final chance to qualify for next year’s HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens in San Francisco.

Sport & Exercise Science student Miell, who is supported by the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), made her England Sevens debut in January at the Sydney Sevens in Australia and has gone on to represent her country in the United States and Canada.

She has also had an excellent season in the 15-a-side game, playing for England Women U20 and helping Bristol Ladies reach the Women’s Premiership final for the first time in their history.
