Oarsome students earn GB selection for European University Rowing Champs

23 June 2017

Three University of Bath students have been selected to represent Great Britain at the European University Rowing Championships in Serbia next month.

Management Masters student Steph Clutterbuck, supported by a Santander Sports Scholarship, will race in the women’s single scull in Subotica where GB will be looking to defend the EUSA Rowing Salver won in 2016.

Matrix Sporting Scholar Laura Macro, who studies Sports & Exercise Science, will team up with Business Administration student Carlotta Broglia in the women’s double scull.

Clutterbuck and Macro are both part of the successful GB Rowing Team Start programme, coached by Dan Harris, at the University of Bath and Minerva Bath RC. They won the Rosie Mayglothing Trophy at last week’s Henley Women’s Regatta and are hoping to qualify for the Henley Royal Regatta along with a number of other Bath University Boat Club crews.
