England Rugby select University of Bath student Sam Underhill and alumnus Tom Dunn for Six Nations squad

18 January 2018

University of Bath student Sam Underhill and alumnus Tom Dunn have been named in the 35-man England Rugby squad for their opening Natwest 6 Nations match against Italy.

Both flanker Underhill and hooker Dunn play for Bath Rugby, with the former combining his sporting career with studying Politics and Economics at the University.

He first came to international prominence when he captained the England U18 team to the FIRA/AER European Championship title in 2014 and he earned the first of his three senior caps so far on the tour of Argentina last summer.

Sports Performance graduate Dunn is currently uncapped at senior level but has been involved with the England training camps throughout this season. He represented England Students while studying at Bath.

England will start their Six Nations campaign in Rome on Sunday, February 4.

Sport & Social Sciences student Beck Cutting will also be involved in the Six Nations with the England U20 squad – they also open the tournament with a trip to Italy on February 2.
