Crew Bath lightweight men’s quad representing Great Britain at 2018 European Universities Games
The University of Bath lightweight men’s quadruple scull rowing crew have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2018 European Universities Games in Coimbra, Portugal this week.
Tom Bowles, John Laurenson, James Martin and Max Valentine will line up in the heats at 1pm BST on Tuesday, racing for lanes ahead of the final on Wednesday.
The Crew Bath quartet earned their place in the 106-strong British Universities squad after impressing at the BUCS Regatta in Nottingham earlier this year. Their travel costs have been supported by the University’s Elite Athlete Fund.
Britain will be looking to emulate their success at the 2017 championships where they won the overall EUSA Rowing Salver after claiming ten gold, six silver and five bronze medals.
