Norway’s CrossFit Oslo Wolfpack become first non-UK winners of Strength in Depth European Finals at STV

05 November 2018

CrossFit Oslo Wolfpack became the first overseas team to win the Strength in Depth European Grand Final after two intense days of competition at the University of Bath Sports Training Village.

The team from Norway battled it out with the invitational WIT Made Me Do It team throughout the entire weekend, winning four of the eight fitness challenges to hold a slight advantage going into the decisive final event.

That was split into two heats, with hometown team CrossFit Bath taking victory in the first to secure a top-ten finish among an ultra-competitive 60-strong field.

The WIT invitational team took the honours in the second heat but a runners-up spot for CrossFit Oslo Wolfpack was enough to secure a well-deserved overall victory. Third place went to Team Dragon Athletic.

An action-packed weekend saw the teams of 12 put their fitness to the test on the University’s athletics track, in the London 2012 Legacy Swimming Pool and in the main Team Bath Arena which was transformed into a giant competition gym.

It is the fifth year running that the Sports Training Village has played host to the Strength in Depth finals. We host a number of major events across a whole range of sports – click here to find out more.
