Maths student John Millar earns first British Athletics call for 2018 European Cross-Country Championships
University of Bath student John Millar has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Cross-Country Championships in Tilburg, The Netherlands, on Sunday (December 9).
It will be a first appearance in a British vest for the third-year Mathematics student, who will compete in the U23 category and has been in fantastic form this winter.
Having secured top-five finishes at British Athletics Cross Challenge events in Cardiff and Milton Keynes, Millar booked his European spot by placing sixth in his age group and 15th overall at the GB trials in Liverpool.
Millar is coached by Stephen Hicks at Ipswich Harriers and is part of the University’s student athletics squad coached by Colin Bovell at the Sports Training Village.
