Buccs teams are on the up as hockey trio are named in Men’s Conference West Team of the Year for 2018-19
Three Team Bath Buccaneers men’s 1sts players, including two University of Bath students, have been named in the England Hockey Men’s Conference West Team of the Year for 2018-19.
Toby Heywood-Bourne and Harry Skinner, who both study Sports Performance, are joined in the representative XI by Ireland international John Jackson.
Buccs finished fourth in the final Men’s Conference West table this season and have been promoted to Division 1 South of the newly-restructured national league.
The women’s 1sts are also on the up having won the West Club Hockey League Premier Division 1 title to regain their place in the Investec West Conference for 2019-20.
It has also been a successful season for the University of Bath Hockey Club, who won four BUCS league titles, two cups and the most BUCS points of any Bath student club this season.
