Sporting scholar Ranjuo Tomblin records golden hat-trick as outstanding Artistic Swimming World Cup form continues in Spain

University of Bath sporting scholar Ranjuo Tomblin continued his outstanding Artistic Swimming World Cup form by claiming three more gold medals at Stop 4 of the 2026 season in Pontevedra, Spain.

The first came in the mixed duet technical as Tomblin and Izzy Thorpe topped the rankings for a third time this year, this time with a score of 225.9034.

Tomblin, a Sports Performance student who is supported by a Trendell Scholarship, added to his gold collection by winning the men’s solo free with 244.4588 before partnering Thorpe to the mixed duet free title, scoring 259.5159 points.

It means Tomblin has won 13 medals this year, eight of them gold, going into the World Cup Super Final in Toronto, Canada from 19-21 June.

Robyn Swatman, who also studies Sports Performance, competed in the women’s duet free in Pontevedra, placing 12th overall with Eve Young (237.1209).

They were also in the Great Britain squad, along with Modern Languages student and Trendell Scholar Cara Zeidler, that finished eighth in the Team Free (169.4816) and 10th in the Team Technical (224.5275).
