VIDEO: GB wheelchair fencing squad working hard at University of Bath base with six months to go to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are now just six months away and the world-leading GB wheelchair fencing squad are working hard at the University of Bath as they look to build on their tremendous success at Tokyo 2020

The UKSI Wheelchair Fencing World-Class Programme has gone from strength to strength since being established at the Team Bath Sports Training Village and this Paralympic cycle has seen the opening of a custom-built National Training Centre, allowing more athletes to access training and providing a permanent home for the sport.

We caught up with defending Paralympic Champion Piers Gilliver and fellow Tokyo medallists Dimitri Coutya and Oliver Lam-Watson, as well as UKSI Lead Coach Peter Rome, to see how the Centre is helping their preparations for this summer’s Games:
