Thousands of students enjoy another Varsity victory for University of Bath in annual student-sport match against Cardiff Met
More than 4,000 students enjoyed a fantastic day of student sport in the Team Bath Sports Training Village and Founders Hall when the University of Bath hosted the seventh annual Varsity match against Cardiff Met.
The atmosphere was electric throughout the day as 42 teams competed across 12 sports – badminton, football, hockey, lacrosse, netball, rugby union, squash, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wheelchair basketball. There was also a mascot race and a specially-built Fan Zone.
Students from Bath were once again victorious in the event, organised by The SU Bath, winning all but five of the fixtures to record an impressive 75-35 overall success.
