Toby Samuel made it back-to-back ATP Challenger Tour titles and Esther Adeshina won her first professional singles crown during another outstanding weekend for Team Bath Tennis.

In-form Samuel didn’t drop a set as he won the men’s singles title in Hersonissos, Greece for a second successive week, defeating Czechia’s Maxim Mrva 6-2 6-3 in the final to secure his fourth Challenger trophy since November.

It stretched Samuel’s unbeaten run to 15 matches and moved the Brit, coached by Ian MacDonald and Tiarnan Brady, up another 26 world ranking places to a career high of 171.

Adeshina, who is also part of the Pro Team at the University of Bath, excelled on the ITF Tour as she secured the W15 women’s singles title in Victoriaville, Canada, sealing a breakthrough victory with a 6-4 4-6 6-2 win over home favourite Alexandra Vagramov in the final.

She also teamed up with Vagramov to win the doubles title, coming from a set down to defeat Canadian pairing Andrea Cabio and Clemence Mercier 3-6 6-3 10-5 in the decisive match.
