Double gold among four-medal haul in China as Bath sporting scholar Ranjuo Tomblin takes Artistic Swimming World Cup tally to 10 for 2026
University of Bath sporting scholar Ranjuo Tomblin took his World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup 2026 medal tally to 10 by securing two gold and two silver when China hosted the third round of competition.
The Sports Performance student, supported by a Trendell Scholarship, struck gold in the men’s solo technical with a new personal best points total of 245.6850. He also recorded a lifetime best of 249.8225 to win men’s solo free silver.
Tomblin then teamed up with Izzy Thorpe in the mixed duet events to win technical gold (227.1317) and free silver (222.5926).
Success in Xi’an followed other medal-laden visits this year to Colombia and Paris, which will also host the Artistic Swimming European Championships in August. Before then, Tomblin will look to continue his fantastic form at the fourth leg of the World Cup in Pontevedra, Spain (29-31 May) and the World Cup Super Final in Toronto, Canada (19-21 June).
