British women win team silver at 2010 Modern Pentathlon World Championships

The University of Bath-based Britain women’s modern pentathlon team today (Saturday) won the team silver medal at the World Championships in China. Beijing 2008 Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell was the highest placed British finisher in the individual competition in eighth. University of Bath Sports Technology graduate Sam Weale is celebrating winning the silver medal at the Modern Pentathlon European Championships in Hungary. The 28-year-old Beijing 2008 Olympian produced a terrific run/shoot to climb from seventh place to second at the championships in Debrecen. Team GB's Heather Fell made sure of continuing the nation's outstanding Olympic track record in modern pentathlon by winning silver today.
