What is strength and conditioning?
Strength and Conditioning (S&C) involves the physical and physiological preparation of athletes aligned to specific sports performance outcomes. Our S&C coaches have a deep understanding of the physical characteristics required to both help you improve your sports performance and mitigate your risk of injury. We achieve this through various training methods, such as (but not limited to):
- Resistance training for strength and power;
- Plyometric training for jump/sprint performance;
- On- and off-feet conditioning for fatigue resistance;
- Speed and agility training for improved manoeuvrability.
The S&C team can offer their services through face-to-face coaching and performance testing, or remote planning and programming via our online S&C management system. Our services are provided in conjunction with the rest of the interdisciplinary support team and are delivered in line with the performance requirements of you and your coach or coaches.
