04 April 2018

Eleven swimmers based at the University of Bath will be competing at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, with the first of six days of racing getting under way at 1.31am BST on Thursday.

Among those taking part are eight members of the highly-successful British Swimming National Centre Bath, who are coached by Dave McNulty and Jol Finck in the London 2012 Legacy Pool at the Sports Training Village.

Siobhan-Marie O’Connor, James Guy, Andrew Willis and Calum Jarvis all won Commonwealth medals at Glasgow 2014. We caught up with them ahead of their latest bid for podium places, as well as team-mates Chloe Tutton, Cameron Kurle and Jess Fullalove – watch the video below.

Two members of the University’s student-swimming squad, MJ Church Ambassador Anna Hopkin and Miles Munro, are also competing in Australia – find out more about how they juggle competing at the highest level with studying at the University of Bath in this video…
