Support Team Bath Gym instructor George Clack as he takes on 60 hours of cycling over five days for Mental Health Matters fundraiser

09 January 2024

Five days, 1,000 miles, one big target – Team Bath Gym instructor George Clack is undertaking a marathon spin cycle challenge to raise money for the charity Mental Health Matters

Visitors to the Sports Training Village this week will see George on his bike as he aims to complete 60 hours of cycling (two hours on, two hours off) from Tuesday 9th to Saturday 13th January for the fundraising challenge. He doesn’t have a break when he gets home either as George will be cycling through the night to achieve his goal.

George (pictured above, left) said: “This January I’m taking on a challenge to spread the word and get people talking about how we can help each other be just as mentally fit as we are physically fit.

“I’m going to dig deep physically and emotionally to complete this challenge, and I will achieve my goal with the support of all those around me. So please spread the word about this guy you know who’s crazy about mental health…talk about him in public, to his face, behind his back, anytime and any place, just talk! And that’s how the conversation starts.”

To support George’s fundraising efforts, see him on the STV concourse during opening hours or make a donation online at https://www.justgiving.com/page/george-clack-1703531341887.
