Team Bath Gym joins HYROX fitness family as both an official Training Club and competition venue

Team Bath Gym is now an official HYROX Performance Hub, offering members the chance to both train for and compete in one of the world’s fastest-growing and accessible fitness crazes.
New HYROX classes are being added to the group exercise timetable on weekdays and Team Bath will organise exclusive member competitions at the Sports Training Village, with the first being planned for this spring.
More than 90,000 athletes competed in global events during 2023, with HYROX providing a hugely-popular test of strength, speed, agility and endurance for the fitness community. Races are made up of eight 1km runs, each followed by a functional workout such as burpees, sled push and pull, indoor rowing and standing ski-erg, and the standardised format allows global leaderboards and a cumulative World Championships.
Competition is just one part of the HYROX movement, though, with exercise classes designed to be accessible and supportive for those seeking to enhance their fitness as well as members training towards their next race.
Sam Holmes, Health and Fitness Manager at Team Bath, said: “We are thrilled to be an official HYROX affiliate and believe this exciting new partnership will provide another source of added value for our members, many of whom will have already experienced HYROX competition or seen it on social media and be keen to give it a go.
“The Team Bath Gym, with its 200 stations and state-of-the-art Matrix Fitness equipment, is ideal for HYROX as we have everything needed to train for the eight fitness challenges, all on one site.
“HYROX is more than just a global fitness competition, it is a comprehensive fitness approach designed for everyone and we can’t wait for our members to get involved”
People, including non-members, will have a chance to try the new HYROX exercise classes for free during a taster week from Monday 10th to Friday 15th February. The 45-minute sessions will then be added to the regular group exercise timetable from Monday 17th February. Each will have a regular theme – strength, power, endurance or hybrid – but the workout will change on a weekly basis.
Exercise classes are included in all Team Bath memberships. Visit teambath.com/memberships to see the latest offers; teambath.com/exercise-classes to see the weekly group exercise timetable and book a class; and hyroxuk.com to find out more about HYROX.
