Super seven-medal haul for Team Bath judoka at British Judo Championships 2025
Team Bath judoka brought home a super seven medals from the British Judo Championships 2025 in Nottingham.
The Senior Championships saw Roxy Proctor win a third consecutive silver in the women’s -63kg division, an achievement matched by Biology fresher Amelia Alder in the -52kg category.
Anika Rabi was a -70kg bronze-medallist and George Riley, a Sport and Exercise Science first-year, ranked third overall in the men’s -100kg contest.
It was Riley and Alder’s second medals of the weekend as they had also won bronze in the previous day’s Junior Championships, as did Modern Languages (French & Italian) student Daisy Hodgkinson in the women’s -48kg category.
Economics student Elliot Wilkinson was unfortunate not to join them on the podium, his defeat in the men’s -73kg bronze-medal match only his second from eight bouts on the day.
Sam Elliott placed seventh in the Senior -73kg competition to complete a solid effort from the Team Bath Performance Squad, who are coached by Adam Hall and Gregg Varey in the dojo at the Sports Training Village.
