Nartey wins World Cup gold

Team Bath judo player Emmanuel Nartey has won his first World Cup title, taking gold at Apia in Samoa. Nartey beat Chinese fighter Qindong Zeng in the under-73kg class final to win the title. University of Bath students Kate Walker and Jan Gosiewski both finished just outside the medals in seventh place at the European Under-23 Judo Championships in Turkey. Two University of Bath students are set to compete for Great Britain at the Under-23 European Judo Championships, which take place in Turkey this weekend.
