Qualifying for Northern Ireland through his mother’s family, Bath-born sprinter Leon made his Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow in 2014 before memorably winning 200m bronze at the Gold Coast 2018 Games.

A former English Schools 100m champion, Leon has been training at the University of Bath for the past decade and, since 2018, has represented Ireland on the international stage.

Jason Gardener MBE, the University of Bath alumni and Hall of Fame for Sport inductee, used to babysit Leon when he was younger and Jason is often in contact with encouragement and advice.
