Respected athletics coach to receive honoray degree

Malcolm Arnold OBE, one of Britain’s most successful and respected athletics coaches, is to receive an honorary degree. Reed strikes gold in Miami

Team Bath judo player Tom Reed scored the biggest result of his career by winning gold at the IJF Grand Prix in Miami. Reed beat Tuvshinjargal Gan of Mongolia with a golden score in the semi-final of the under-81kg class event. He followed that up with victory in the final over Argentina’s Emmanuel Lucenti, who finished seventh in the division at the London 2012 Olympics. Richard Gabb Wins British Tour Event

Team Bath MCTA tennis player Richard Gabb won the British Tour Event at Nottingham on 7 June 2013. University of Bath student and athlete Kirsten McAslan has been selected for the senior Great Britain team for the first time. McAslan, a Biochemistry student at the University, is one of four Bath-based athletes named in the GB team for the European Athletics Team Championships in Gateshead on 22 ad 23 June. Gosiewski wins silver in Estonia

University of Bath student and judo player Jan Gosiewski has achieved the biggest win of his career to date by taking silver at the European Open in Estonia.
