There was a double success for Team Bath MCTA Academy tennis players at the weekend with Callum Poland-Smith collecting a singles title in Malaysia and Adam Glynn winning in Kuwait. Ivor Powell MBE – an outstanding individual and a tremendous inspiration

Ivor Powell MBE, a former Welsh international footballer and long-serving coach at the University of Bath, passed away last night at the age of 96 after a short illness. After a playing, managerial and coaching career that took him to Aston Villa, Blackpool, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United, Carlisle and PAOK of Greece, Ivor coached at the University for 37 years before retiring in 2010.
