Inter Department Football Cup
The IDFC (Inter Department Football Cup), which has been running at the University since 2002, has once again been very popular and has run smoothly through the year. IDFC has been a very well organised programme where 15 teams entered for the 2007-2008 year and an amount of 120 games were played throughout the season.
The league was divided in two groups (one had 8 teams and the other had 7), where each team had to play all the other teams once. The best two teams of each group qualified for the play-offs, and the worst two teams of the league played a wooden spoon game.
The wooden spoon match was played by Biology and Physics, and physics ended up taken the spoon. The best four teams of the league were MoLes (pictured), Sports Engineering, Education and Bums. Moles and Education had a great semi-final and went through to the next round. Team Beat beat BUMs and ended up third in the whole League while BUMs finished fourth.

The final between MoLes and Education attracted a great number of expectators who went out in the sunshine to support their teams. After a very close match, Education took the trophy home after beating Moles 2×0. Education not only had the best team of the league, but also the top goal scorer who was Simon Leach (pictured left). However, on the other side, Alex took the title of Best Goalkeeper of the Season (pictured right) only conceding four goals the whole year.
We introduced a new system this year that was the winning house. All Departments represented their color house and three houses came really close by points at the end of the year. In fourth place with 218 point was GREEN HOUSE. Third place with 1378 points was BLUE HOUSE. Second place with 1811, RED HOUSE and finally, the winning house of the year was YELLOW HOUSE (pictured) with 2068 points. Hopefully, we will find ways of attracting more people from the green house next year so we can have an even closer competition.

Intramural Futsal 5-A-Side League
Futsal was a very successful competition this year. Team Bath had to open a second day for the league because of the amount of people interested. This year we had to run a league on Tuesday and another on Friday. 17 different teams signed up. However, we had six teams playing for each league, which in total was 24 teams participating and an incredible 233 people involved.
The system was where the two best teams from each league/semester qualified for the play-offs.

Intramural 6-a-Side League
6-a-side League was divided in days this academic year, where each team signed up for the day of the week they could put a team together. We had 23 teams in total signing up for Semester I and II together, with about 234 people involved.
The two best teams of each league were qualified to play the play-offs so winners of Semester I and II could eventually, play against each other to have an overall winner.
