Alex Wilding

Alex is a first year student studying Mechanical Engineering, who represented GB Juniors at the World Championships in 2011.
His aim this year is to make the U23 squad and in the future to break into the Senior squad with the ultimate goal being selected for the 2016 Olympics.
Alex is currently a Bill Whiteley scholarship athlete.

The University of Bath has played host since 2003 to a GB Rowing Team “Start” centre. It not only targets students but also young people of in the academic year in which they are 16 with or without a background in rowing but with the potential to be future Olympians are targeted.

University of Bath Boat Club
The University of Bath Boat Club has come a long way since its founding in the 1970s. From initially consisting of only one four man boat, the club now owns a large and constantly expanding number of eight, four, two and one man craft for use by all its members all year round for training and racing.
