The University of Bath is home to a vibrant student rowing club and Bath is a base for British Rowing’s GB Rowing Team World Class Start and Potential programme, sponsored since July 2006 by Siemens.
Since the inception of the scheme in September 2003, four University of Bath students have featured in recent Great Britain Senior or U23 teams. They are Marcus Bateman (Sports Technology, 2005), Adam Freeman-Pask (Natural Science, 2006), Dave Lyons (Coach Education, 2007) and Heather Stanning (Sports Technology, 2007).
