A wide-ranging hockey programme

Team Bath’s hockey programme is home to players from a variety of ages and ability levels.

University of Bath Hockey Club

The University of Bath Hockey Club has four men’s and four ladies’ teams who play in the British University & Colleges (BUCS) leagues on Wednesdays, as well as other teams that play friendly matches. More than 330 students are members of the thriving hockey programme.

Team Bath Buccaneers

Team Bath Buccaneers is the pinnacle of the hockey programme at the University of Bath. Comprising of both student and non-student players, the Buccaneers compete in weekend hockey leagues.

Cutting-edge facilities

The £35million Team Bath Sports Training Village is home to two outdoor hockey pitches; one water-based pitch and one sand-dressed pitch.
Also on site is a world-class high performance gym and a specialist Physio & Sport Science Centre.

A thriving youth programme

Team Bath Buccaneers’ Junior Talent Centre caters for players from under-6 right the way through to under-18 level, welcoming youngsters of all ability. With 19 teams and approximately 450 junior players, the thriving centre sees a very strong pull through of players into the senior teams, as well as regional and national representation.
