The sport of hockey at Team Bath has many levels. Working in combination with the University of Bath Hockey Club and the England Hockey League Logoon-site Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club, a whole range of activities at beginner, recreational fun, competitive league and international representation level are on offer.

England Hockey Clubs First LogoTeam Bath Buccaneers is a Clubmark and Clubs First accredited club.

Since 2005 Team Bath has enjoyed in the input of Clubmark LogoNick Kendall, our hockey development manager, who leads this ever-expanding programme.

The hockey programme at the University has developed significantly in the past few years. Ladies HockeyNick has been joined by South African international Jody Paul as head coach of both Team Bath Buccaneers and University of Bath hockey. The programme involves elite training for current and aspiring U18 Playerinternational players.

Athletes include or have included men’s international star Richard Mantell, Helen Grant, England’s leading goal scorer at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2002 World Cup, and Denise Marston-Smith, who won her 100th England cap at the 2002 World Cup.

Young TBBTeam Bath is the family of sports activities based at the University of Bath and has some of Britain’s most talented sportsmen and women including current Olympic medallists and those aspiring to be the best, across a number of sports. The multi-sport environment allows individuals to learn from a variety of sports and train alongside other elite sportsmen & women.
