Sports Pass and membership offers
Want to swim between lectures, serve up some rallies on the tennis and badminton courts, shoot some hoops indoors or outdoors, or join a group of friends for five-a-side football? University of Bath students can do all this and more for FREE with the student-exclusive Sports Pass!
Simply take your library card to the Team Bath Sports Training Village reception to activate your Sports Pass and gain access to a host of daily activities in our inspirational sporting facilities on campus. These include:
- Lane swimming in our 50m London 2012 Legacy Pool, home to Olympic, Paralympic and World Champions.
- Badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball and other sports in our multi-purpose Sports Halls.
- Floodlit multi-use games area (MUGA) with outdoor basketball and netball courts.
- Two artificial hockey pitches and a 3G training strip for five-a-side football and hockey.
- Tennis on our eight outdoor courts.
- Running on the outdoor athletics track.
- Beach sports.
- Squash.

Student membership offer
Access the on-campus Team Bath Gym & Fitness Centre and dozens of group exercise classes every week by taking out a student membership.
Two gym-and-classes membership offers are available for the 2025-26 academic year, a 12-month annual membership for £369 or a 2025-26 academic year membership priced £359, which runs from September to 31st May 2026.

Pay and play
A membership provides the most cost-effective access to our group exercise classes but you can also pay for them individually at a discounted price of £7.00 (for 30-minute classes) and £9.50 (for classes of 45 minutes and more).

Student Sports Pass terms and conditions
- Booking is required for all activities and bookies MUST be in attendance.
- Student Sports Pass holders can book and access the relevant facilities (except where restrictions apply) free of charge.
- Non-Sports Pass holders must pay a guest fee at the Sports Training Village reception prior to attending the session (payment cannot be made at the Founders Hall reception).
- Student Sports Pass holders are permitted to book 1 hour per activity space a day.
- Advance booking restrictions: one day ahead for swim-fit (or 10pm on Thursday for weekend sessions); three days ahead for outdoor athletics; five days ahead for all other available Sports Pass facilities.
- The Sports Pass provides access to the outside tennis courts. Indoor tennis courts can be booked for half-price up to two weeks in advance.
- Non-attendance fees are applicable to Student Sports Pass holders who fail to turn up for a swim-fit booking without cancelling at least one hour in advance.
- Some facilities and activities, like the Team Bath Gym, exercise classes and main 3G pitch, are not included in the Sports Pass and require a membership or pay-and-play access.
- Students wishing to hire equipment can do so by purchasing a SU Sport membership at www.thesubath.com/sport/costofsport.
- The Student Sports Pass is available to University of Bath students only.
